Would you ever disown you kids if they ever dated outside their race?

So long as my children date within the human race, I'm happy. Honestly, I'd be a bit of a hypocrite if I were to disown my kid for marrying the person s/he falls in love with.

For the record, I wouldn't disown my kid for marrying someone of the same gender either. And if s/he happens to fall in love with someone of a different religion, that's okay too.

I believe in judging a person based on their character and personality only, not on things like gender, race or religion. What kind of a parent would I be if I changed this when it came to my child's partner?

I'm a Jewish woman married to a Christian man,and I think it's retarded not to allow your kids to date outside their race, ethnicity, or religion. Sometimes it is much easier to date somebody who has similar background to your own, but getting to learn about your differences is half the fun in a relationship.
